Drake walked around the corner. He blinked several times to make sure he was seeing what he was really seeing. It looked like someone was trying to get out of the window. On leg was inside, the other was outside, and their shirt was half way up. Drake walked a little closer. Then he recognized the grunts coming from the girl who was trying to either get in or out the window. It was Aloni. Drake cleared his throat "So this what you do when you leave me and go off alone after lunch." Drake smirked as he watched her freeze and go blood red.
"Oh my God! Drake! Oh, um...." Aloni's stomach twisted. Then, with out knowing what she was doing, she fell, her shirt ripping up the side of her. "GOD! I HATE THIS!" Aloni turned scarlet. Probably crimson if it were possible.
Drake tried with all his strength to hold back his laughter. "You ok?" He finally managed to get out. He walked over and held out his hand to help her up.
Aloni took his hand. "Don't laugh. I just didn't want to talk to Yasmine..." She straightened out her shirt. Then stared at her one flip flop. The other was on the other side of the window. She walked over and leaned in to grab it.
"Oh... Yasmine." Drake feared that name. She was horrible, a monster, a demon! Drake watched her as she whimsically leaned through the window to get her shoe. Nice ass she has... "So you're roommates with her?" Drake tried to make conversation. He leaned against the building with his arms folded.
Aloni nodded. "Yes." She slipped on her shoe, then looked at him, folding her arms too. Still red from the embarrassment. "Oh, um, don't tell anyone about this, please."
Drake ran his fingers across his lips as if he were zipping them up. "My lips are sealed."
"Thank you."
Drake folded his arms again and nodded.
So embarrassed, she didn't know what else to say, so she just started walking, seeing if Drake was going to follow her.
"Where are you going?" Drake didn't move an inch.
"Um, away from the window where Yasmine can hear us..." And to hide my embarrassment...
Drake stopped leaning against the wall and slowly walked towards her. "Just to get away from the window?" Drake was smiling. He knew she was embarrassed and wanted to get away from him. But he kept stalling, trying to keep her from where ever she was going to go.
Aloni blushed again. "Yeah..."
Drake stared at her for a minute. "Why do you always run away when I'm around? I'm not that scary am I?" Drake smiled
Aloni had a lump in her throat. "No. Your not scary." She said trying to make her voice sound mean. "And I do not just run away."
"You did at lunch today."
"No. I wasn't hungry... And the conversation was boring."
"Oh so I'm scary and boring now. Ok, I get it."
"No, no, no, no, no." Aloni reacted immediately. Oops. "What I meant was...Jade gets boring when talking to Joey. And I never said you were scary."
Drake chuckled "Ok, ok."
Aloni shook her head in frustration and stalked off.
Drake stopped his laughing. "Hey, wait!" Drake jogged up to her and walked by her side; "Hey, I'm sorry ok?" he was still smiling.
"Sure." She said. Scowling at the ground she watched as she walked.
"And you don't believe me do you?"
"No." Aloni turned the corner and stopped. Where was she going to go? Have Drake follow her to random places? Weird...
"So you're never hungry then?" Drake asked to make conversation.
"I get hungry. Just I don't eat that much." Aloni tried to stay angry, but she was flattered that Drake was still with her...still trying to make conversation with her.
"Well that's obvious to see." he could tell that she's trying to stay mad, but he's starting to melt through her.
Aloni groaned at his annoying pique he kept up. And started going in any which way.
"Am I annoying you?" He already knew the answer, just wanted to see what she would do.
"Obviously." Aloni said.
"Ooh, that was cold." Drake said, but it didn't seem to bother him.
Aloni just rolled her eyes. "What is it you want from me? Entertainment?"
"Oh I dunno, maybe just a simple 'HI'. You know, words of kindness. But entertainment works too..." Drake smiled, he put his hands in his pockets.
"Hi." She said then stalked off towards who knows where.
Drake stopped for a split second, smiled to himself, then jogged several steps to catch up with her again. "That's more like it."
She wheeled around. "Since you don't seem to get a hint, and won't leave me alone, Did you want to go somewhere in particular?" She surrendered, and had to ask.
"Hmmm... No, not really. Just following you to see where you go." He smiled to himself.
She sighed. "Ok, fine. I think I’m ready to go back to my dorm...Where Yasmine is."
Drake flinched when Aloni mentioned Yasmine's name. "Oooooo, Yasmine? Um, can I ask you a question? What kind of flowers would you like me to bring to your funeral?"
Aloni rolled her eyes. "Yasmine? Kill me? Please!"
"She won't kill you? After when she finds out you snuck out the window away from her she will." Drake warned. "So what flowers?"
Aloni rolled her eyes. "Roses, And I don't think she will kill me, she values me too much. She calls me delicate all the time."
"SHE calls someone DELICATE? I somehow find that very hard to believe. And are those roses red, white, yellow, pink...?" Drake pretended to write down on a pad of paper as he was 'taking the order'.
Aloni bent her head. "That's because you’re too chicken to find out how she reacts to her fellow models."
"I am not!" Drake threw his arms down.
She smiled slyly. "Then come with me to my dorm."
Drake hesitated. "Why?"
"You said you weren't chicken. Well prove it!"
More hesitation. "Now?"
"Well, yeah, why not?" She was getting through him. "Unless..." She shrugged. "You just don't want to follow me anymore. That's fine."
"Um, you know, I think I'll catch you later. See you at dinner." Drake waved and ran off.
"Ok." Yes...she got him away...But then, it was mean. And she kind of missed him already. She really liked him, and why would he bug her to death, if he didn't like her?
Drake was disgusted at how much Aloni could stand that demon. He shivered at the thought of her. And Aloni acted a little mean towards him. She must hate him. Psh! The spoiled snob. But then other times, she's really nice. Her mood swings around him confused him a lot. Drake headed toward his dorm.
She sighed. She didn't want to see Yasmine. So instead, she walked back over to Drake. "Drake, wait!" She said. "Hey, I’m sorry." She tried to catch up with him.
Drake was surprised to hear Aloni chasing after him. He turned around, "Well, now look who's following who."
"Again, I’m sorry. Did I hurt your feelings? I was kind of irritated because you happened to find me dangling out of a window..." She trailed off.
Drake shrugged "No harm done. Except for your shirt." he eyed the little tear at the bottom of her blouse.
She gritted her teeth, and moved her arm in front of the tear. "Yeah, but I didn't mean to be that rude."
"It's ok, nothing compared to what I used to live in back at home."
Aloni flinched, for no reason. She wasn't that mean...But that sounded terrible. "What happened at home?"
"Life. What else?" Drake answered as if it was a 'duh' question, but he tried to not make it sound rude.
Aloni looked at the ground.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean... That just came out wrong..."
"No... It's ok. What's fair is fair, Right?"
"Yeah." Drake smiled.
"So what are you going to do now?" She asked.
"Um, I was just headed over to my dorm to, I dunno, play some songs."
This brightened her. "What kind of songs?"
Drake shrugged "Anything, I can play on guitar."
She nodded, concentrating on a few songs she's heard him play.
"...Or piano." he continued.
"Any other instruments I should know about?" She asked, teasing.
"Ha, uh there's trumpet. And other simple instruments like the recorder. And the electric bass, drums, you know… band instruments."
"Wow"
"Yeah..."
"Do you compose your own songs?"
"Most of them."
Finally, she asked. "Can I hear some?"
"Sure." Drake led the way to his room.
"Oh my God! Drake! Oh, um...." Aloni's stomach twisted. Then, with out knowing what she was doing, she fell, her shirt ripping up the side of her. "GOD! I HATE THIS!" Aloni turned scarlet. Probably crimson if it were possible.
