Drake Meets Aloni

Drake had a hard time waking up that morning. He had a rough night with Drako screaming all night. Stupid green night light. Why can't it just stay green the entire time? Why does it have to change colors? Drake slowly got up, rubbed his eyes and flopped back down on the bed and fell back asleep. He was woken again by Drako's good morning song on Barney.

Aloni woke up at 7:00 that morning, excited for the first day. She got ready in no time. Especially since Yasmine and Jackie were up and making noises.
"Don't worry. This is gonna be a great day." Jackie reassured her. Aloni just smiled. You never know. She left the room to find Jade who was semi-awake.
"Hey," Aloni said.
"Hhhiii..." she dragged. "Ugh! I'm so tired."
Yasmine got up and ready while bossing Jackie at the same time. "JACK-O-LYN! Where's my hair brush? JACK-O-LYN! Which bag is my make-up in? JACK-O-LYN! Ugh! For goodness gracious, Jack-o-lyn, why aren't you ready? No excuses, let's go now." Yasmine name out of her dorm while being followed by Jackie. She looked for Aloni and all the other girls.

"TURN THAT THING OFF!" Drake jumped up and turned off Drako's Barney music. Drake looked over at the time. "HOLEY CRAP! I'm gonna be late!" Drake hurried and got ready and ran out the dorms out onto the courtyard. He saw Joey and went over to talk with him again.
"Hey!" he ran over, panting.
"Hey," Joey and Drake gave knuckles. There were some other guys standing around with Joey. "Er- guys, this is Drake. He's new this year." Joey introduced Drake to the guys. "Drake, this is Cameron, Ethan, Colby, Josh, and Stephan or you could call him by his girl name, Stephie." Joey laughed.
"Oh shut up." Stephan muttered.
"Aw, c'mon Stephie, that was funny last year." Some of the other guys started laughing.
"No, no, no, it's Stephanie, not Stephie" Drake said. That made all the guys laugh even more.
"Hey, you're alright." Ethan playfully punched Drake's shoulder. Drake smiled. He was doing just fine.
"Yeah, hey let's go bug 'Miss Popular' over there." said Colby.
"Who's that?" Drake asked.
"That would be Miss McKenna Sherwood over there," Joey pointed. "She was the cheer captain last year and she's planning on doing it again this year."
"Oh like totally! I am just the best position for it and you know it!" Josh mocked McKenna's girly voice and the way she talked.
"Oh, okay." Drake understood. So Nicole was one of THOSE people. Got it.
The guys introduced Drake to some other people and showing all around the property. Pretty soon, Drake had the entire campus memorized by heart. And he warmed up to the people so fast it was like he's been at the school for years. They went to breakfast and noticed a lot of girls looking at him and whispering to their friends, giggling and looking back at him. Did they talk about new kids like this? Or was he wearing something stupid? Or did they think he was cute? He didn't know, but he tried to make the best impression of himself. He was determined to become the popular kid again this year.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I LOVE BARNEY! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Drako whined over and over until Drakey boy left. Then he turned it on again and watched Barney until Teletubbies came on. Then Blues Clues. He would stand up and yell "BEHIND YOU STEVE!" When they found a clue.

Aloni looked around. Now that she thought about it, she found a lot of her model friends. This was great!
"ALONI!" Chloe ran up and gave Aloni a great big hug. "I missed you so much!" She squeezed harder. Yasmine came up behind her.
"Don't kill the poor flower." Yasmine referred Aloni as to a flower since she's so small and dainty compared to Chloe.
"Oh. Sorry," Chloe put Aloni down. "I'm so glad to see you!"
Aloni laughed, "It's okay." she said smiling. great to see you all." she said.
"Oh yeah. Not to mention Allie, and Becca, and Carry that are here too. You'll have to meet all the other models too. There's Shondalin, Amy, Lexi, and Kelly too. We have so many new additions." Jade said.
"Wow." Aloni said, wide eyed. "Wait, you say Becca? I love her." She smiled.
"Ha ha, yeah, don't we all? Anyway, I know how much you like to dance, so..." Jade held up a Dance sign up poster for beginning dancers.
"NO WAY!" Aloni squealed.
"You should do it Aloni." Jackie chimed in.
"You should." Chloe said too.
"Yes you should so then you can catch up to me." Yasmine also encouraged Aloni, "I'm in the advance dance class, so you should definitely join the beginner's and I could help you out on some moves." Yasmine bragged about how good of a dancer she is.
"Alright." Aloni said smiling. Inside, she knew she was better than a beginner.

"Hey Kenna! Hey baby! Remember us?" Drake and the guys bugged Mckenna after they finished breakfast. McKenna rolled her eyes and went back to talking with her friends.
"Oh come on baby! We gotta talk, gotta catch up. The summer was so long, I don't think I know you anymore." Ethan came up to her, "You know, you and me have A LOT in common, you know that?"
"Ew, go away, you immature twerps." Kenna sneered at Ethan, then glared at the other guys. Then she saw Drake.
"Oh," her face went from snotty brat, to sweet and kind. "Hello there. I've never seen you here before." She walked over to Drake.
"Uh, hey." Whoa is she digging me or what?
"You must be trying out for the football team this year." Kenna looked at Drake's muscular arms. "I love football players." she winked at him.
"Yeah? Well, I am going to try out for the team." Drake never even thought of the school actually having a team. There's a football team! That is awesome! He'll make it on there without a doubt.
Kenna giggled, "Well then, I guess I'll see you on the field then." She walked away back to her friends again.
"Wow man, is she into you or what?" said Colby.
"You actually got Kenna, MCKENNA SHERWOOD, to like you. That is some skills there." Josh was amazed.
"Yeah, I know. It's just a gift to be good with the ladies you know..." Drake was really cool now. The cheer captain likes him. That really must be something.
They bugged some other people and messed around like boys usually do, until it was almost time for their first hour class to start.
"We better go to class now, the bell's about to ring." Cameron looked at his watch.
"alright, let's go guys." Drake was actually leading the group now. His first day, and he was leading the group.

Aloni and Jade walked around to their new classes. First class: History. She had to go to history. She and jade both had it, so they went. She sat down in a desk that was arranged on a seating chart. Ick. Seating charts. Well, breakfast was good, and her uncle stopped by to see how she did, so she was already liking, not loving, but liking this school. Oh well, not that bad. She saw a lot of cute boys around, who apparently stared at her. Wow. She looked around. There were a few that were already early. So she sat down and waited for class to start.

Drake and his now 'gang' came in the class room laughing. "Dude, you so got burned by Kelly back there! Ha ha oh wow!" They were laughing and messing around. The teacher glared at them.
"Ahem." she said.
"Oh, sorry." Drake said.
The teacher sighed. "Come over here and I'll tell you where you're assigned seat is."
"What? Assigned seat!? On the first day!" Drake was surprised. They didn't do that in his old public school.
"That's how it's done here." Said Joey. Drake groaned and walked over to the teacher.
"Name?" she asked.
"Drake Mellingson."
She looked at her paper. "You sit... next to Aloni Newman. That young lady over there on the right." she pointed to Aloni. Joey's eyes bulged out. "Aloni Newman!? You get to set next to Aloni!? Dude, she's the owner/Principal's niece! THE Phoebe Newman's daughter!" he whispered to Drake.
"Phoebe Newman?" Drake was surprised. Phoebe Newman was a rich business owner in the country, said to be the most successful business woman this time era.
"Yeah!" You better watch out, she's rich and might be a little snobby." Joey warned.
"Right." Drake nodded.

Aloni looked up when her name was said. No one was addressing her so she looked back down to her doodles. Then she looked up again. She saw the most... hottest kid that was coming towards her. Like seriously, hot! He had brown eyes, and dark hair, he was just so cute. She bent her head down immediately, making a curtain with her hair. That way she wouldn't be caught staring at him. Oh gosh. Who is he? He's so hott! She peeped again to find him sitting in the seat next to her.
Drake went over to sis seat. Aloni Newman was sitting in her seat. She glanced over with her hair hanging down, covering her face. She probably thought that she was so disgusted with him and had to hide so she wouldn't be so embarrassed sitting next to him. Humph, spoiled brat. Drake put his binder on his desk and peeked over at the girl next to him sever times. He hasn't seen her face at all yet. He waited for the bell to ring. This was too awkward.
The teacher decided to have everyone stand up one by one and introduce themselves to the class. Aloni looked up when the teacher called on her to share her name to the class. Slowly, she stood up. This sucks.
"Hi... I-I'm Aloni Newman..." People whispered when she said that. "I, uh... Am new, so I don't know anything." she said then sat down as quick as a bullet.
Drake looked up at Aloni. He could actually see her face now. She was very, VERY attractive. Drake kept staring at her. Her eyes were a beautiful dark blue and her hair was a wavy golden color. Her skin was sun tanned and clear. Teeth perfectly white. Make-up good, not a single hair out of place... She looked like a model on a magazine. Then the teacher called on him. He was so stunned by Aloni's beauty that he didn't even notice anything else.
"Mellingson, Drake." The teacher repeated.
"Oh." Drake stood up. "Hey, um, I'm Drake Mellingson, obviously. And uh... assigned seats, the color silver, and the Principal's hairdo all sucks in my opinion... so yeah." Drake sat down with the class slightly giggling.
"Alright guys, calm down. Now Peterson, Brittany. You're next." the teacher said.
Aloni giggled at Drake's remark. It's so true, her uncle's hairdo is a joke. Omg look how he talks, so dang cute. And that butt of his! He's got the perfect looks. NO WAY! He's so gorgeous! Aloni sat there, gazing, not knowing what was going on. Then he stirred. OMG! Was I staring too long? Crap! She looked down immediately.
She's still looking down... it bugged Drake. He wanted to see her face again. He wanted to study her features more, wanted to talk to her. But was he good enough? Drake just sat there in awkward silence with her. Joey tried to talk to him across the room, but Drake wasn't a good lip reader. So he just sat there.
"Now," the teacher said after they've gone through the whole class. "We're going to get to know each other some more. So we're going to do a small activity. I want you to turn to the person sitting next to you and tell them ten things about yourself."
Drake slowly turned to Aloni, she still had her head down. He waited.
Aloni looked up. Couldn't it have been some one else without a cute butt?
"Hi," she said, opening her face a little more.
"Hey," Drake half smiled. "So... You want to go first?"
"Okay..." She said, thinking. Ten things? Crap. "Uh... I am an only child. I like music a lot, even though I can't play it. I... am a model. I'm not that social... I like coffee... was that five? Um... I am only fifteen." She started. She ran out of things quickly.
"You're a model?" Drake interrupted, "Maybe that's why you looked so familiar?"
"I do?" she asked, getting shy again.
"Uh yeah, do you do some magazine or post things on the Internet or something?" Drake smiled. Wow she was very shy; the total opposite he thought she would be.
"I guess so." she said. She didn't pay attention to where her things went. why is he so into me? I'm really a nobody...
"Well that's really cool. Uh... I believe you have four more to do." Drake smiled.
"Um... right... I have fun if someone is nice to me I guess? I am kind of sensitive I think... and I'm definitely not racist."
"Well that's good to know that you're not a racist." Drake laughed. "One more?"
"Oh, right um... I don't really know. I guess I find people staring at me a lot..."
"For some reason that doesn't surprise me." he looked into her eyes and stared with out even realizing it.
"Ha ha, yeah." she looked down. "What about you?"
Drake looked up, thinking. "Uh... let's see here... I play guitar, I play other instruments as well, uh... I'm the youngest in my family..." Drake kept thinking of some more things to say about himself.
"Wow, guitar? That's awesome." She said smiling. "What other instruments?"
"Guitar, bass, drums, piano... yeah." Drake laughed once.
"Wow, that's cool. I wish I was as musical as you." she said. She blushed. Why did she say that? She's so stupid. But of course, it's true.
"Yeah. It couldn't be a pain though sometimes... anyway, I have how many more to go? About seven? Uh... I race on dirt bikes and four-wheelers with my family. I'm and uncle of about forty kids ha ha, um... I like cookies'n'cream ice cream..." Drake debated on whether or not he should say anything about his new discovery, that his twin brother was here.
"That's my favorite ice cream too! And... how many kids?"
"About forty, rounding up."
"Uh..." Aloni started. How can he have that many? That's impossible...
"My family's complicated." Drake explained in one short sentence.
"Alright." Aloni said as she smiled. And looked back down at her things. Oh gosh. Look at him. He's so HOTT! I mean, like an angel from heaven has descended to me! I feel like I'm going to faint...
"Yeah, it's better just not to ask." Drake laughed lightly. Why does she keep looking down?
"Alright. You have four more."
"Okay, my favorite color's blue. I'm new to this school as well. Uh, I've been in seven different schools, but have lived in the same house all my life. Could that last on count as two?"
"Ha ha, sure." Aloni said. "Seven schools? Why?"
"Uh, because I keep getting expelled or my mom thinks the school is not doing my brain any good or some other weird excuse like that."
"Expelled?" she asked.
"Yeah..."
"I won't ask." Aloni said. The teacher stood up, probably about to wrap it up?"
"Yeah. Better if you don't, long story."
"Okay." Aloni laughed a bit. Now what to talk about? This is bad... What to talk about... What to talk about....
"So you live around here? I mean during the summer?"
"No, I live in Pennsylvannia. Far away I guess."
"No, not at all. Not as far as me at least."
"Why? How far do you live?"
"Colorado."
"Wow."
"Yeah, it's pretty far from here."
"That's too bad. I'm sorry." Aloni brushed her bangs to the side.
Drake shrugged, "I actually like it, it's far away from all the chaos."
"Really? Don't you... miss anyone a lot?"
Drake shook his head. "Not really, not anyone that's back in the west."
"Oh... I miss my mom."
"Really? I'm the total opposite. I can't get mine off me. Sometimes being the baby of the family is hard."
"I'm so sorry. I'm an only child so it gets lonely at my house. Especially when my mom's working all the time. Usually I try to annoy the crap out of my butlers, but it gets boring after a while..."
"Ha ha, that sounds fun. But at my house, you just get attacked by thousands of little kids 24-7. I would LOVE to have your life."
"No, you wouldn't." she looked down. Definitely not.
"Uh- yeas I would. You have no idea how hectic my life is. I'd rather be bored than killed."
Aloni just smiled.
"OKAY! Time's up!" The teacher called the class back together. "I hope you have made a new friends today! Now class is about to end, so I want you to go see someone else across the classroom to make another friend, you may leave when the bell rings."
"Yes!" Drake popped up and went over to Joey.
Aloni went over to Jade.
"See you've met Drake." Jade said.
"Yeah... wait, how do you know him? He's new here."
"I lived back west for a couple months when I was little. Drake was in my third grade class. He hasn't seemed to have changed much..." said Jade.
"Oh." Aloni looked over back at Drake, admiring him from a distance.

"Hey man," Drake gave knuckles to Joey.
"Hey, So... how was sitting next to Miss Rich?" Joey asked.
"She's actually not like I thought she would be. She's very shy."
"Uh-huh... See that girl standing next to Aloni? With the black hair?"
Drake looked over to where Jade and Aloni were. "Yeah."
"She's pretty, isn't she?" Joey kept looking at her.
"Um, if you think so, then yes. Definitely." Drake patted Joey on the back. Actually, yes, she was very pretty, but not as pretty as Aloni.
The bell rang. Everyone scattered out of the classroom and back onto the campus to go to their next hour class.
